Camp Ripan was an amazing place to stay! Highlights: SPA: We really loved the spa - it was one of the highlights of our time in Kiruna. The traditional Swedish scrubs they give you and the awesome design and facilities were delightful. The spa staff were especially kind. Make sure you book reservations for the spa far in advance because it is very popular. FOOD: We also loved the food - the dinners in particular were some of the best we've had during our 2 weeks in Sweden, and a good value. The waiters were very well informed and extremely nice. The breakfast that was included was also wonderful - they do not skimp! Bacon, sausages, fresh fruit, pancakes, you name it. Because the town is on the move, it isn't easy to get food anywhere else, so it is a good thing their food is both good and reasonably priced :) CABINS: Our cabins were very clean, nice and warm, and the hot water and water pressure were great! There was an awesome drying cabinet in the cabin we were able to use to warm and dry our wet clothes and towels - awesome! MAIN LODGE: The main lodge was nice and big - easily accommodated all of Camp Ripan's guests without feeling crowded and had a nice design. Also nice: a store onsite where heavy winter clothes from Fjallraven and other outdoor brands could be purchased in case you may not have brought enough appropriate clothing for the Arctic winter. There were even places where we could work upstairs when we had to open our laptops for a few hours one day! It is about a 10-15 minute walk from the main lodge to the bus station (very easy without luggage, but make sure to get a taxi to and from the airport). They had a very convenient phone guests could use to arrange taxis in the lobby of the main lodge. They also have little sleighs you can use to push your luggage through the snow from reception to the cabins, and other complimentary things for guests to use like sleds and ice skates.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this apartment! The accommodation was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and in a fantastic location. We were lucky enough to witness the aurora borealis for the first time here, which made our experience even more special. The place offers a wide variety of tours and activities, making it easy to explore the surroundings. Breakfast was also delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. The staff was incredibly kind and professional. We did have one issue—due to a mistake on Booking.com’s end, our spa reservation was canceled without our knowledge. This is something that should be improved, as the issue could have been resolved before it became a problem. However, the staff handled it in the best possible way. They compensated us with free cross-country ski rentals, complimentary souvenirs, and snacks, which was a really thoughtful gesture. The agent on duty at the time was extremely polite and helpful, turning an unfortunate situation into a positive experience that actually enhanced our trip. Because of the exceptional service and the overall experience, we will definitely return and book the same apartment again. Highly recommended!

A Perfect Stay! Our stay at Camp Ripan was absolutely perfect from start to finish! We spent five magical nights here, and we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights right from inside our room almost every single night! It was an unforgettable experience. The facilities are top-notch, offering everything we could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The staff is incredibly helpful and pleasant, always ready to assist with a smile. Their hospitality truly made us feel welcome. One of the highlights of our stay was the amazing food. The breakfast is of such high quality—fresh, delicious, and with so many great options. Lunch was also fantastic, with well-prepared meals that tasted incredible. Everything about this place exceeded our expectations, and we are already planning to come back again! If you're looking for the perfect stay in Kiruna, we highly recommend Camp Ripan!

Camp Ripan is an excellent facility for all making a trip to the Arctic Circle. The main building offers all amenities and all tours pick up and drop off at the Camp. The restaurant is very very good, we were told it was the best restaurant in town. The food was delicious with interesting local dishes. They have a very decent inexpensive spa with different saunas and outside hot and cold pools all must try. The bungalows are spacious, warm and very clean. The camp also rents out winter clothing (as most tours also do) as none of your winter clothing will suffice (it was -25 C when we were there). It is not walking distance to Kiruna town, but very central and has to be you base of operations or first place to stay if you are new to the area. Stay there before you get your bearings and venture further into North. Would definitely stay there again..

Camp Ripan is an excellent choice for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The breakfast spread is impressive, offering a wide variety of both hot and cold food options. One standout feature is the ability to request a freshly made sunny-side-up egg, which is a rare perk at many hotels these days. The rooms are spacious, quiet, and perfectly suited for a family of four, providing a relaxing environment after a day of exploring. Whether you're traveling for leisure or adventure, Camp Ripan delivers a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!
